The milk used to make<\/span> Isigny<\/span> Butter and Cream <\/span><\/strong>is collected in Veys Bay, <\/span>in the heart of the lush, green Cotentin and Bessin marshland regional <\/span>nature park.
This zone is fed by five rivers and stretches across 175 <\/span>municipalities including Bayeux, Saint-L\u00f4, Coutances, and as far north as <\/span>Cotentin.  
<\/span>The influence of the ocean spray and the presence of swampy ground high in alluvium and clay produces grass of outstanding quality, which enables the <\/span>production of milk that is<\/span> high in fatty acids and <\/span><\/strong>trace elements.<\/span> The PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) designation <\/span>recognises the unique <\/span><\/strong>properties of those pastures<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

authenticity and high level of quality. These criteria require that the milk\u00a0<\/span>production and all other production, processing and packaging steps occur\u00a0<\/span>exclusively within the defined Isigny PDO <\/span>area.
